For the Employer:

  • Human Resources doesn’t have to deal with employee medical situations. Key to that is avoiding liability for HIPAA violations. If an employee talks with Human Resources or others in the organization, about a medical condition and later gets fired, HIPAA could bring that employer’s knowledge into play even if it is innocent and doesn’t even apply to the reasons for dismissal.

  • Employer knows that employee has a place to get help. Our program works with the employee to direct care so that the employee gets a higher and more efficient level of care. The benefit is that employees have fewer setbacks and get back to work more quickly.

  • Employees will communicate with MAP’s RN  when they are having a problem getting the care they need in a timely fashion. MAP’s RN  will get them the care they need and follow up to make sure they follow through with the treatment.

  • Employees view this as a valuable benefit. Most employees are looking for help when they get an ailment. The medical community is notorious for not communicating well. Employees like the idea they have someone to talk to get answers they don’t get any other way.

  • Employers will save money when employees become better purchasers of healthcare. Because of the program’s low cost, one case handled more efficiently could easily save the cost of the whole program
    for a year.

For the Employee:

  • Employees get educated. Employees get answers to their questions, but also receiving direction on which publications materials on specific ailment or medical topic to their needs. . They can get coaching advice on what to ask the doctor prior to an appointment in order to get the most out of their visit. They can get information on all sorts of wellness programs, social services and help organizations available to them in the community.

  • Employees get peace of mind. Obtaining healthcare is both confusing and scary to most employees. Having someone to talk with confidentially about their concerns substantially eases the employee’s fears associated with their episode of care.

  • Employees get quality data. Delphi’s database includes quality indicators on every physician, outpatient facility and hospital in your area. We will recommend choices of specific network physicians and, facilities that rate among the best with regard to number of procedures done compared to their peers,  lowest complication rate and lowest co-morbidity rate in the area. The benefit is that the employee will be able to obtain the right care at the best price.

  • Employees get better care. The advocate will work with them to make sure they get in, get what they need and follow the prescribed treatment pattern. Employees will not get lost, ignored or forgotten in the medical maze.
